     Dennis Jeffrey of Garrison is a well-known tournament angler who also serves as an ambassador for fishing in North Dakota and especially for Lake Sakakawea.  Dennis was named the Angler of the Year of the RCL professional walleye circuit in 2004.  He is the only North Dakotan to be named as angler of the year on a professional circuit.  He also has claim to many other walleye tournament accomplishments to include two World Walleye Association championships and several top ten finishes in the North Dakota Governor’s Cup.
     Dennis has earned a reputation as an accomplished and determined competitor among his peers, yet always represents himself as a true gentleman on and off the water.  He takes great pride in assisting and advising fellow anglers, particularly youngsters and newcomers to the sport of fishing.
     Dennis has worked hard to bring the opportunities presented by North Dakota fisheries to the attention of the professional fishing circuits.  He has been the focus of many articles concerning his achievements on the tournament trail.  He has also been a willing contributor of numerous articles on fishing and was featured for a year on an “Ask a Pro” national fishing website.  He has lent a willing hand to assist with a multitude of various fishing events. 
     Dennis is an accomplished walleye tournament champion who has always acted in an ethical and professional manner.  He has worked to educate a great many anglers in order to improve their success on the water.  Dennis has been an outstanding representative of North Dakota and his home town of Garrison as he has tirelessly promoted the sport of fishing.
